Lauren Du Graf has written about film, art, music, and literature for The New York Times, Los Angeles Review of Books, The Oxford American Magazine, and elsewhere. She holds a PhD in English and comparative literature from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is currently a postdoctoral research fellow at the Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library at Yale University.

She is originally from Seattle, Washington, and is a proud product of public schools, from kindergarten to PhD.
