Lauren has taught college-level writing, film, and literature courses to students from both traditional and non-traditional backgrounds.
As a Lecturer in the English Department at Goucher College in Baltimore, Maryland, she taught through the Goucher Prison Education Partnership, a member of the Consortium for the Liberal Arts in Prison. At the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, she taught both at the main campus and in prison through the Correctional Education Program.
